"Tension at Penrith has reached boiling point, with club boss Phil Gould giving coach Anthony Griffin a very public blast midway through Saturday night’s embarrassing 24-10 loss to a a second-string Canterbury side.
Several fans and Bulldogs coaching staff witnessed Gould slam Griffin in the tunnel as the two teams left the field at halftime at Belmore Sports Ground.
A furious Gould yelled words to the effect of “This looks like a reserve grade outfit… fix it” to Griffin and assistant coach Cameron Ciraldo.
The blast had little impact - despite fielding most of their big guns against a no-name Bulldogs outfit, Penrith were even worse in the second half.
Club insiders say Griffin is a dead coach walking - and the events of Saturday night certainly add weight to that theory."
There's no better time to play them. Wish we could bring the game a week forward.

Griffin is an absolute bum, it is mind boggling how he replaced a quality coach like Cleary with him.
Griffins a dope, talks like hes been deprived of oxygen and had 20 beers, they should never have hired him, its Gus's fault.
Panthers are imploding, they are gone this year.
I reckon he sounds exactly like Bennett if you listen carefully
Gould with all of his brilliant ideas... He'll never settle on a coach
What of Cleary?
Gould obviously has too much influence. Should just let the coach do his job and butt out.
just get Gilliard, he will become PM
Q) What do all the successful clubs have in common?
A) A Head Coach who’s authority is unquestioned.
The GM of Football undermines the authority of the Head Coach. And a coach who’s word is not gospel is a dead coach walking. Can you imagine Bellamy answering to a GM of Football? Can you imagine Storm players having a GM of Football (who is an ex coach and ex player) they can chat to and have a whinge to?
If Griffin leaves Gus should follow him. Gus has had enough time and it seems to be falling apart again. The set up is flawed.
