FOOTY SHOW DUMPS VOSS AND JOHNS & WEBCKE TEAM UP ON 7

Channel 9 have finally come to their senses and reduced the role that Andrew Voss will have on the Footy Show this season. I don't think I was the only one out there that would get annoyed each time Vossy would interrupt an interview to ask a question that a player would have already answered or would try to put the hard questions on. There was too much of him on TV screens last year...hopefully other programs will follow suit.

And what are your thoughts on the new rugby league based show on Channel 7? Shane Webcke is set to join Matty Johns on a rugby league concept program to start 3 weeks into the NRL season. The program already has the support of NRL chief David Gallop which has angered Channel 9 executives. Looks like the TV broadcast rights are set to heat up!

Good on ya Matty owes channel 9 nothing, after that pig Tracey Grimshaw carved him up last year about the NZ happenings. Finally a show that will talk about footy not all the other shit!!!

The more competition there is on TV for the game, the more the TV rights will go for. All good IMO.

I actually don't mind Vossy, at least he speaks his mind unlike the usual crew that won't tackle any big issues. It is good to have someone there that isn't a player sometimes.

As for the ch7 show, even if it is bad I will watch it given it is about footy, so bring it on!

the footy show was once upon a time one of the best tv shows, now it just sucks, i love matty and am glad to see him back on tv, not sure how much of a personality webke is though.

Yeah Vossy is an irratating tool and lets hope Webke is more entertaining on screen than his book was.It was without doubt the most boring sports biography ever,they should give it to insomniacs because it would put them into a coma like sleep within 10 minutes.

I think Vossy has a good mature view off the game, like Gould. Vautin is funny, but fooball knowledge goes out the door. I like how Vossy thinks.

As for Matty Johns, good to see him back, we need characters. Can't help but think his show won't last long though...

I hope it does better than ch7's last attempt, does anyone remember the Hard Yards? It was on about the same time the ch9 footy show started, Michael O'Connor was one of the hosts along with some nuffy.

Matty Johns can be really irritating though, and he is WAY too biased towards Newcastle and Melbourne.
