Flanagan Off-again?

NRL leaks on Sporting news

Flanno to get much-deserved extension There was a tip-off from a punter on social media earlier this week that renowned player agent Wayne Beavis had been spotted meeting Cronulla chairman Dino Mezzatesta. NRL Leaks can reveal the mail was good. Premiership-winning Sharks coach Shane Flanagan, who is managed by Beavis, is set to receive a new two-year offer from the Cronulla board, which to everyone in league land would seem a no-brainier. The Sharks have enjoyed their most successful period in the club's history under Flanagan, who has led Cronulla to seven of the past eight finals series. By re-signing Flanagan, the Sharks will also be able to ensure they hold onto some of the game's hottest young talent of whom the head coach has helped foster in the club's elite academy including Briton Nikora, Jayden Brailey, Bronson Xerri and Flanagan's son Kyle.

  • Lol there is no chance that Cronulla would let Flanno go.

  • It was never on

  • What do you expect when our dumbass club play the wait and see game.

Trust me we'll end up with John Cartwright or Jason Taylor
    • How do you know they haven't inquired? Maybe he just laughed at our club and said no chance. Properly not though but who knows really what this joint is up too.
    • I know how Gurr operations. A total reactionary figure. Everything that's happened so far is reactionary
      • Gurr is the David Gallop of NRL CEO's.

      • Really? Reactionary....how so pls mate?

  • We'll end up with Bushy for 5 more years.

  • Chief if we miss out on Flanagan i be happy with jason Taylor as long he bring along Michael Ennis i think they both be great coaches together

Youngest Cleary has signed for the warriors, lot of these young halves don't want to be stuck behind great halfbacks. Not sure if it's the best career move lol
