without being hysterical and hyperbolic, but after 9 round should we not extend BA tenure for another 5 years.
this guys has amazing emotional intelligence (for example, why worry about politics when i cannot do anything about it, even if it means I do not have a job) this is one level headed in control dude.
he appears to be a people person and a fantastic people manager. the sort of guy you want to take a bullet for.
i have not been this happy about our team since Smithy days (yes, whilst 2009 was unbelievable and I love watching the last 11 games of that season, over and over again it was still very flukey and Haynesy had a 1 in a 100 year type of season) this year, the boys are having a crack and appear to have adopted a win or nothing attitude. surely this has come about from BA. they are playing with passion.
perhaps a 10 year extension is on the cards and to dangle the carrot, we should give him the chairmanship for life as well.

Couldn't agree more.I even tend to think max 2 yr contract.Ricky Stuart is a perfect e.g of this and more recently I cant believe the Warriors signed McFadden for 3 yrs after 2 games. What happens if they miss the finals this yr and next and decide to sack him. They have to pay 2 yrs
Unfortunately coaches, like political parties in power, have a defined life. With political parties its about 10 years where they become stale, with coaches its much shorter, usually 5 years. Jack Gibson I think only ever coached for 3 years as obviously he thought that was when you started loosing influence & same with Wayne Bennett with St George & Newcastle recently.
Gibson stated that if you spent longer than 3 years at a club you became part of the woodwork and the club would be unable to move on. Just ask Brisbane. They haven't been the same since Bennett left.
Bennett also served 21 years at the Bronx - sort of blows a hole in that argument.
