Parramatta utility Will Smith has extended his contract for another season.

The 25-year-old joined the Eels this season after three seasons with Penrith where he made his NRL debut.

Having filled a role in the halves and hooker, Smith’s extension was signed off on some weeks ago and is now contracted until the end of 2018.

Market Watch can also confirm the Eels have taken up an option in their favour on Nathan Davis for 2018.

The centre rejoined the club earlier in the year from the Gold Coast.

Davis made his NRL debut at the Titans last year but was granted an early release from his contract to return to his junior club.

Clubs need to also consider the fact that they now have to have 30 players in the top squad for next year's salary cap as opposed to 25.

I guess you will start to see clubs offloading more players that have been signed for overs to ensure they can meet the headcount.

Mannah just signed for 2 years and a clause in his favour to play for another 2 years

I would really love to know on what basis was Terepo resigned on?

The fact he makes multiple errors nearly every single game?!

The facts, out of last years statistics don't support your assertions about Terepo.

His error rate was lower than the average for all forwards, he gave away less penalties on average than the other forwards and generated the best statistic of any forward BY FAR on missed tackles.

Very disappointed we lost him through injury early this season and look forward to his return this year and continuing his development for next year.  A good re-signing in my view.

a footy blog related to eels half my luck. building a great side for the future. Arthur is a great coach he should say at parra for as long as he wants.
