If the Club knew Hayne was leaving would we have not kept Sio? Of all the players at the Eels he would've appeared the most likely to play FB. Although that's not to say he'd have made a great number one.
Just guessing, but wouldn't all of our recent signings (with the exception of Takairangi which presented itself later) be players we would have known we needed way before the plane departure and be players we could afford also based on whom we let go anyway.
Maybe there is one more to come with the Hayne money.

a half with 1st grade experience and content to play reggies is a valuable commodity.
We never got the chance to see Kelly/ Sandow combo either.
Reckon that would have been more exciting than Norman/ Kelly combo though
lets not throw matterson to the wolves too early. we dont want a repeat of Dan Mortimer.
