DEAN PAY/ Dogs

Lost:

Moses Mbye

Foran

Woods

Klemmer

Faitala Mariner who was their best player start of the season

his first choice halfback Marshall-King

...Not to mention it was a basket case team he inherited with a bunch of players he didn't want, and they've improved almost every week and play with a tonne of enthusiam. A team thats had no attack for 3 years and he's had to change their entire style. Another team that;s rebuild will be ahead of ours,

Have to commend him on what he's getting out of his young team.

  • All comes down to attitude
  • Over the cap, remember ? Why were all those players contracts rubber stamped in the first place?

    • Which should be an excuse for him to get nothing out of this season. Pay has begun the rebuild though, made the tough decisions and is playing a style of footy suited to the kids in his team. Something we should be doing but no one has the foresight .

Holland , Hoppa, Lewis , Martin , Elliot , Smith the winger are some examples of players he’s getting to play well. Name me 3 BA is getting the best out of.

  • it’s not even about the result . It’s about their attitude , intent and style of footy with a young squad. most fans aren’t dumb and aren’t fooled when you continually say ‘the effort was great’. Theirs actually is.

  • Also their young guys are showing improvement

  • We beat them a couple of weeks ago - maybe Parra are better.
    • agreed - same team we beat. They did play v well last night.

  • Lost Paulo Peats Foran Norman for 8 weeks got penalised 12 points and nie on made the semi's in 2016 very similar to what your talking about now except we finished and did a lot better.

I guess credit wasn't due then.

    • That doesn't reinforce the point he's trying to make, so those facts don't count. Please stick to the script. The team running second last and the team we beat a few weeks back is clearly doing fantastically and we should emulate them by sacking BA. It's not about results, it's about some intangible we can't quantify, and it's all BAs fault.

      • Like i said im not talking about the results. We played them with basically our first string team and barely put them away anyway after losing to them earlier in the year so nothing to really float about there either. We won on a grubber that hit legs and Moses picked up ffs.

Its about the style of footy , their improvement of their youngsters and their intent . All things that the coach has a huge say in.

2016 was Brads peak as a coach at Parra. It was a better season on the field then what we produced in 2017. His voice and style of play are out dated at Parra and the things he was good at coaching ie Discipline , the basics and winning the 1%ers have gone. The players aren’t seeing the rewards for those things and now aren’t doing them and BA has no other answers.

"Yeah i agree, Sanders might be in reserves at Canberra but the path to FG is a lot more clearer. Moses and Brown both signed til 2027. Brown could decline the option but Sanders is not wasting a year to see if that happens."

"Scottie, so does Sanders you idiot. That's what I'm trying to explain, he is promised a starting position. Whether it's 12 months or less it's the exact same thing. Fmd. "
