  • This had 100% better be bringing in an external party to do this review.

What is clear is that we can not, should not and must not review ourselves - there's a reason that no employee conducts their own performance review, because you don't know what you don't know, you can't see what you can't see, and it's impossible to improve if you can't objectively see or quantify your own deficiencies.

Fantastic to hear there will be a review - it must be external, focused on measured success, and must have enough resourcing to be completely top to bottom with nothing off the table.

Our previous reviews have not successfully seen changes happen that have had impact on outcomes. This review must be different.

    • Nathan Browns doing it lol

Oh and FYI , we do our own performance reviews at my place of employment.  True story 🤣.  Takes me all of 5 mins and then I send it onto someone in offshore HR that's never met me to sign it off.

      • "I have done a great job, the greatest job - I recommend a 200% payrise for myself." 😂

        The system works!

        • Pretty much exactly how it works Captain , minus the pay increase part .

There's also a quite a comprehensive summary of your figures vs targets to accompany the review .

The real talent is making a negative seem like a positive .  I've sent a review off with a sea of red and had my request for salary review approved and actioned .

believe it or not it's a system that works busier then having managers personal grievances or favouritism blind their judgement .  Your numbers tell the story.  Mind you we still can have an input into our direct reports reviews and salary review requests of someone's been acting the turd .

it works better then the traditional methods .  I've worked with both .

      • Wiz if you were working for me your performance review would be just you telling me one of your one liners and you would promoted .

        • Frankie, why not employ me and I will review you and Wiz.....nothing held back and I am happy to put aside that attempt to take the new worker to lunch with the promise of you not being taken advantage of!

        • Gone are the good old  days Fong , whereas a quick blowie and a few crown lagers in a cheap hotel room got rhe job done 🤣😜

          • Ah! those were the days my son. I thought they'd never end....Those were the days, were females allowed to work in those days?.....didn't they just stand around and look pretty.....what else could they do?

Bloody equality when will us men be regarded as equals again?

  •  As long its not the gould report! We seen how successful that was 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

  • Internal investigation?  Nothing will eventuate with it done internally.  This is just a PR excersize, papering over the cracks.

We'll see what reforms if any come out of this. Most likely  -  ", weve seen good progress under the current coach, but we've got to be better in ........'  Fans need to be patient as building from within takes time ....... "  whatever
