BRONCOS 1/3. I LOVE IT!

Broncos are shaping up to be the disappointment of 2017?

I have only watched their last 2 games but it is blatanly obvious the refs are doing everything they can to get the Bronx a win.

Last week a forward pass (at least 1 1/2 metres) allowed them to take the lead in the game against the Cowboys.

Cows simply did not give up and won.

This week the Blunder did NOT look at video footage showing Chambers scoring a legitimate try and ruled knock on.

The blunder ref clearly says "We see the player lose the ball and separation from his hand" or words to that effect - even the commentators were gobsmaked..

AFTER the decision of No Try is made, we then see a completely different angle showing Proctor SCORE the try with NO separation what so ever.

Sam (Gutless) Thugday (3rd man in as always) belts the Storm winger (from behind, a Thugday trademark) and instead of getting 10 in the bin the ref waits for the scum Bronx to commit 2 more dirty penalties before telling the captain they are being naughty and he will have to do something about because of FIVE penalties in a row.

The Bronx centre Moga dropped the Storm winger on THREE occasions chasing a kick and NOT once did the refs pull it up.

Moga was also into dirty play all night but was allowed to get away with it.

Bronx have become the dirtiest team in the comp aided and abetted by the refs - AND STILL LOSE!

Tell me again how this comp is not rigged.

The Storm should have put the Bronx away a lot easier than what they did - if it had not been for "Look at ME" Slater destroying their attack all night and going for his own personal glory, they should have scored at least 2 more tries (possibly 3) if Slater had been playing for the team and not his own glory.

That said the Storm are no longer the team to be feared as they were in past years.

I think age is starting to show with just that split second in their timing letting them down too often.

They are still very competitive - BUT...................

The best part - regardless of the best, cheating, game fixing efforts of the refs [imoatt] the Bronx are languishing toward the bottom of the ladder, and a once great coach (who should have retired) will go out a loser.

  • I thought Thaiday reefing shit out of Bromwich's injured thumb at a time when it was completely unnecessary was a dog act, dirty player.
    • Games gone sawft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back in the day you could rip stitches out of blokes heads and bury blokes heads into the turf in a good old fashioned spear tackle and it was deemed fair game. Old twist on a broken thumb and every one crys these days. Games gone sawft!

  • Disagree. They've defended extremely well in the past 2 weeks, beaten in extra time and at the death last night by 2 quality sides, who will vie for the top 4. If we had lost those 2 games we would be saying unlucky, close, good effort, something to build on. If they continue that attitude they will be a top 8 certainty in my view. Wait until they play other teams to see how they're going. If anything, the first 3 weeks showed they can match it with any team, at home or away. Those games could have one either way and they could easily be 3/3 and flying high.

  • Broncos are playing well. They've just come against some very good teams early on and have to play Raiders next week.

We've had a soft draw so far to start the season so I wouldn't be getting to far ahead of one's self.

  • I will give the Bronx credit for their defence-  yes it is very strong.

Particularly if the 10 metre rule isn't applied all game. Go watch the Cowboys game again.

Now as you lot know I have been saying for the best part of 2 seasons how the Bronx don't get pulled up for many of their forward passes (leading to tries) unless the pass is at least 2 metres forward.

Last night was an exception when they did get pulled up for some.

Bottom line (imo) is this - the refs are playing a very big part in their go forward and teams are simply not taking notice and continue to score more points.

A lesson for the Eels perhaps?

BTW - IF their defence is so dammed good - why are they letting in more tries than they score? Hehe.

  • actually alot of spiteful acts in that game, they were at each other so much. Really enjoyed Sims aggression and go forward

    • THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I love watching the guys go at each other with aggression and venom - but the low grub acts need to see players in the bin imo.

Refs have NO BALLS - can't wait to see Kasey and Belinda get control of a game - then watch the boys get pulled into line very quickly.

  • The storm play to a different rule book. Cameron smith is deadset allowed to do whatever he wants in the ruck. S
  • And that's because you're so hard Hamish haha.

    • Let's get back to the says when this wasn't even deemed a spear tackle:

      games gone sawft!!!!!!!
