WINGER Bill Tupou has signed with the Canberra Raiders for the rest of the NRL season and beyond after being released by the New Zealand Warriors.
Tupou, 22, has cut short a two-year Warriors contract which was to expire at the end of next year, with an option to continue in 2015.
He has signed a with the Raiders until the end of 2015 after having also considered an offer from the Parramatta Eels.
The former Junior Kiwi scored 19 tries in 62 games for the Warriors since his debut in 2010.
That followed two seasons with the club's under-20 side, in which he scored 28 tries.
Tupou scored three tries in nine games this season but hasn't started in first grade since the club's record 62-6 loss to Penrith in round 10.
In that game at Sydney on May 18, he made a team-high 119 metres but is credited with making just one tackle.
Tupou won't be available for Canberra's match away to South Sydney on Friday because he probably won't fly to Australia until the weekend.

Think you will find its got more to do with general stench of the club over last couple of years than not wanting to play for RS.
Regardless of who your potential boss might be if you were looking for a new job, would you take a job at somewhere that is a mess and in a clean out and re structure phase. I know I wouldn't. I'd take the job that seems more stable and secure.

Its a bizarre situation that we cant sign anyone. We tell 12 guys to look elsewhere with nobody lined up to take their place and then we struggle to get guys we target. If we want Kingston or Morris the money is their so why isnt it done? Ken and Ricky keep saying that they only want guys that want to play for Parra and wont pay overs. Newsflash guys,nobody wants to play for us and you are going to have to pay overs.

Even still these player signed with the current club so its not a missed signing. Most if not all players will stay at their club if the offer is good enough.
