First off id like to clearly state Bev seems a lovely young man, this is not personal not am i blaming him for our losses but what he is is part of a bigger problem as are many of his team mates.
Bevan needs to be let go, he is not the player we are looking for long term and he has way to many liabilities for this particular team, for most teams i believe.
This is not a new opinion from me based on just this year, ive held the same opinion and voiced it for a few years now, Bev is not well rounded enough as a player to carry his own weight in 1st grade at this present time and i dont believe we have the time as a club to stick with a player like Bev.
He offers very very little to the team performance on the park, the odd freakish try just simply doesnt cut it.
Put Bev in the Melbourne system and he might become a more complete footballer but we have too many weaknesses as a team to carry a player like Bev, and Bevs one of them.
Bev cant come in and help the pack out with a few smart or big runs like a big modern winger, hes completely ineffective in that dept and always will be.
His defence is average to poor.
He is very weak for a winger, especially lower body, hes targeted by the opposition, the rag dolling and domination of him in defence will continue.
His size is not what we are looking for in a winger, i believe we need big powerful outside backs, we need more size and power across the park, the only short back id be keeping is Mick Jennings.
Bev is not really a promoter of the ball, he generally only thinks about himself, i think he hurts our backline not helps it, he really struggles to break the line after his knee injury too, hes just getting dominated out there and it wont change, i think its going to get worse, hes been found out.
Hes had years to bulk up his legs but looks like hes just walked out of Auschwitz, seriously the kids a huge liability and other coaches and teams can see it and are hammering him accordingly.
He will be totally exploited in the games that matter, hes the type of player that helps lose GFs just like Luke Burt, a huge liability that will be exploited on the line when it counts, hes being exploited and man handled now, come finals time weaknesses like Bev are the links that break the chain..
We dont have the team to carry a player like French, the kid cant play FB hes proven that, hes so poor there that Brad has to share the duties in the game to cover for his shortcomings.
He cant play wing, hes too weak and small, hes a very weak link in our team.
He doesnt have the awareness, kicking or passing skills to play in the halves.
Where does that leave him? In Wenty and to told he can look elsewhere imo.
Tough decisions have to be made, Bev would be one of the first blokes id be telling to look elsewhere.
Nothing personal, hes obviously a fine young man but we need to be more cut throat and build a bigger team with less weaknesses.

Snake, no player has come through the BA system and succeeded. Many clubs including Melbourne were after french, recognizing he was an absolute stand out throughout his junior years.
Moeroa is another one. And why the fek does ba persist with a player who was knocked senseless twice last week, then plays him 5 days later and gets another concussion . The guy had concussion problems throughout 17 and was forcefully excluded by the nrl in the finals. BA has failed withhis duty of care as was the case with degois
The buck stops with ba
If anyone is suffering from head knocks it's BA.
Bevan is a definite finisher. Look at the ppl that create the opportunity’s for him or put him in a bad position.
Hes part of the reason we are lacking muscle, the rest of the team have to carry him in attack and defence.
Exactly right CP.
