What plan? BA doesn't have a plan. He just wanted to be rid of one of our halves, you know one that he personally recruited only 18 months ago. And what for, where we really over, or almost over, the cap with the team we've assembled? If that's the case heads need to roll.
Now what are our options? Very limited. Throwing Brown in with very limited experience with an ISP side is fraught with danger.
The most obvious option is Gutho and Moses as first choice. Not ideal as Gutho is not the most proficient 5/8th.
Next option is Salmon and Moses. From what I've read on TCT Salmon is more suited to the centre position although he did play 5/8th in some rep team when younger. From what I saw last year from him he didn't impress me much so lets see what this year brings.
Third option is Moses as 5/8th and Brown with my reservations as mentioned above.
Any other options?

Didn't Moses come here 18 months ago?
The club is obviously heading in a different direction and for mine, Arthur is having minimum say in our recruitment future which is good.
This is just the beginning. There'll be huge changes coming at the end of 19.
If true Chief why bother keeping the coach then?? If you give him the year give him the side he wants and if he goes down in smoke than he's had his chance. If they have tied his hands surely they need to move him on and get someone else in???
I believe that's the plan. I think his days are numbered but we may be waiting for an off contract coach for 2020.
Same what I was thinking Alan, if they don't see Arthur in their future then 2020 will be a ride off too as the new coach will take a year or two to get the players he wants, why not do it this year get a head start. There are basket cases in the NRL then there are idiots, we are both.
Because under our new structure with Mark O’Neill as Head of Football, the coach, whether it’s BA or someone else won’t be getting the players they want, they’ll be given a roster at the start of the season and told “that’s your roster, now go coach it”, which is exactly what we want. Now that doesn’t mean the coach won’t have any say in personnel, they will, they just won’t be the final decision maker.
Oh dear. Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed. Firstly, don't believe everything you read on TCT, Salmon is a 5/8, not centre. Secondly, Norman is rubbish and had to go. He is a fullback trying to play in the halves. Awful decision to recruit him in the first place, and one of the most self centred players i have ever seen. Thirdly, forget gutho in the halves. He will be f/back. Moses will be 5/8, as he always should have been, as for 7, who knows. Brown may go o.k. I'd be more concerned about our number 9 if i were you. Now go and have some weet-bix and cheer up.
There's a couple of rookies, one of which played quite well at the back end of the season. With some better go forward up the middle, Mahoney could take his game to another level. In the end, if we are going to have average players, they may as well be young with the chance to improve.
