Became an Eels tragic when I was in about year 5 or 6 so that's say 1970. Living at Sevo (definitely local) at the time after emigrating from of all places - Manly. Moved around a fair bit with work but supporting the mighty Eels always whilst residing in places from Darwin to Nowra (currently).
Back in those days league was pretty tribal and you tended to support the local team. I can't understand how kids down here barrack openly for the stinking Brown cows and Qld. A lot have no Qld connection whatsoever either.
I guess I could have supported the Riff or Wests but the 'border' was set at Blacktown (IIRC) with Sevo juniors playing in Parra comp and the Blacktown juniors playing in Penriff comp whilst the Magpies were based at Lidcombe - not really my local team.
Born & bred Seven Hills boy...right in the guts of "BA Country".....
earliest memory was 1981 season. I remember a bet with my best mate who was a roosters supporter. whoever won the major semi had to go for the other team. parra won he changed teams and is still a parra fan today
if the roosters won that final I would have been disappointed last Saturday!!!!
that was my parra sliding doors moment.
Year, 1949 and proud of it. Lived three miles out of Liverpool, now just up the road from Parramatta Stadium at Winston Hills. Been there since 1970 after much time in Wollongong. At the club 81,82,and 83 and the year Jon Monie coached us to a GF win. I claim that I am No 1 Senior Citizen follower of the Eels! So pay me due deference if you please!

Born and bred in Fairfield, in the heart of Eels territory. Third generation Eels supporter and have been attending the games since the turn of the century.
Can tell that you are a Merrylands boy Brett; you have not adopted that Brisbane Line guff. I was at the burning of the Grandstand 81 , good example of members power that! I used to play against Merrylands in the Parramatta junior league. They were always good players.
I have lived in a couple of places over the years and am currently deep in enemy territory, but I was born in westmead and went to primary in wenty. My nan used to work at the games, footy, cricket, etc. I was born a Parra supporter and I have made it through the last four years so I will die a Parra supporter.
