ANY hopes that banned head trainer Trent Elkin had of returning to the Parramatta Eels have been dashed.
The Eels have appointed Melbourne Storm high- performance manager Paul Devlin for next season as a replacement for Elkin.
Eels coach Brad Arthur believes Devlin has the credentials to rip his side into shape for 2015.

Good pick up for us. Storm always look fit.
Sounds positive.
Good coup to us, and no doubt BA knows him, and the storm are a fit team, nice stuff and well done to the club.
Devlin has also worked with Peter Gentle at Hull.
Well done to the club. I heard about this around a month ago and was told Devlin came to Parramatta from England, having worked with professional football teams over there and he was the man that helped to organise the trip to Seattle as he knows some of the staff there.
Had a chance to meet Devlin a few years ago - the guy knows what he is talking about and is a fantastic high performance manager and knows his stuff.
Great coup for the club.
Has a ton of experience and will be a great fit for our club.
Did Trent Elkin actually think he would be welcome back to his job. I think the eels were always going to move on from him.
Another solid get for sharps team
No wonder Hayne quit he heard pre season was going to be the toughest one ever. lol
