Just watched a 40/20 from St George in under 20's. The ball boy went and got another ball, and placed in on the touch line. But the other ball that was used to get the 40/20 was thrown back in for a quick touch and they then scored. Surely the rule would be that the ball placed on the sideline has to be the own used to restart play. What are the refs doing????
Oh, I am sorry, I forgot, different rules for different clubs. The NRL hammers Parra and then lets other teams get away with it.

Does it matter which ball is used? Can't you take the quick throw in with any of the balls?
If the NRL/refs are going to get technical with the rules, they should be clear about what ball can be used. If Parra last night had a second ball and placed in on the touch, do you think we would be having this discussion....I am sure we would still be called up and would have had the 40/20 quick start stopped for some reason.
There will be times a from a 40/20 ball goes into the stand and another ball isn't quickly available...the Bunnies ball boy last week delayed giving the ball to the Manly player.
