The other week i was watching Wenty v Norths on fox sports, Nathan Cayless was guest commentator, I was interested and really enjoyed listening to his opinions on the game. Similarly i was listening to Luke Burt on the big sports breakfast and he so well spoken and has a very intelligent football brain, I liked hearing his views too.
I guess what trying to say, is how hard would it be with the Radio Broadcasting rights up at the end of the year, for the Parramattta Leagues Club to sponser a low budget 3 hour radio show, where guys like Nathan Cayless, Luke Burt, Nathan Hindmarsh can call each weekly Eels Match?
They could do a 1 hour preview where they would talk possible game plans, Interview club legends, discuss oneyedeels top blog of the week and take some questions from Eels fans. Then go and commentate the game purely bias to the Eels, meaning they get to cheer if parra score! then have half hour to wrap up the game maybe grab an interview and take some calls.
It would purely be a show for Parramatta fans completely different to any other radio broadcast on the market because it would embrace bias and target a pretty sizable devout audience.
Some positives would be that it gives the club a voice, gives ex-parra boys some income and the chance to improve and showcase commentary skills for future opportunities, premote oneeyedeel.com, give fans an outlet and advertise sales and merchandise.
It would be nice to hear club matters being discussed by people recently involved with the club and may even force telegragh journo's to be a little more honest to get our attention, because we would have another option to get our Eels information fix.
Anyway just throwing it out there :)

great idea, but the only two guys that would have gone great on radio ( GOERGE TAYLOR & MARK ) have got the boot, they would have made great radio callers exp MARK, he had a real gift with words, im serious he would have wiped the floor with hadley n jones......

I had put forward the idea of chatting to the club regards video taping the lower grades (esp when not covered by fox and their NSW Cup televised match), Wenty magpies and the Toyota Cup.

Trying to place a focus on the grass roots of the team first and foremost, but also getting the NRL squad members to have some involvement with regards to interviews.

Tony thought a webcast, radio show was more likely to be the first step (as it's a smidge easier to put together), which I think is a logical first step, but the tv industry man in me wants to do something along the lines of a web stream tv broadcast.

IF people are still interested, I would LOVE to sit down and have a chat about it. My little prodcution company has a lot of film equipment and we have a few edit suites (well a few computers with up do date professional editing software .. NOT windows movie maker or the program that comes loaded with a Mac .... but the professional edit suites).
